Supreme Cruises Refund Information
This Refund Information document outlines the general principles regarding refunds for cruise bookings made through Supreme Cruises. As Supreme Cruises acts as an agent for various world-class cruise lines and travel suppliers ("Suppliers"), the specific refund policies applicable to your booking are primarily determined by the terms and conditions of the respective Supplier.
Your dedicated Supreme Cruises Voyage Concierge will provide you with the detailed refund policy applicable to your specific cruise and fare type at the time of booking and in your booking confirmation documents.
1. General Principles
Refund eligibility, amounts, and processing times are subject to the cancellation policy of the Supplier (e.g., cruise line) with whom your booking is confirmed. Different fare types (e.g., promotional, non-refundable, flexible) and cabin categories may have different refund conditions.
2. Refund Eligibility & Conditions
- Supplier's Policy: The primary determinant of refund eligibility is the Supplier's cancellation and refund policy in effect at the time of your booking and at the time of your cancellation request.
- Timing of Cancellation: Generally, the closer to the departure date a cancellation is made, the lower the potential refund amount, and higher cancellation penalties may apply. Most Suppliers have a tiered penalty system.
- Non-Refundable Components: Many bookings include non-refundable components, such as initial deposits, certain promotional fares, or specific service fees. These amounts are typically not refundable regardless of when the cancellation occurs. Your Voyage Concierge will clearly identify any such components.
- No-Shows: Failure to embark on your scheduled cruise ("no-show") will typically result in the forfeiture of the entire cruise cost, with no refund applicable.
- Documentation: In some cases, to process a refund (especially related to insured events), specific documentation may be required by the Supplier or insurance provider.
3. Requesting a Refund
All requests for refunds related to a cruise booking must be made by contacting your Supreme Cruises Voyage Concierge directly by phone at 1-855-647-9014. Please have your booking reference number and relevant details available.
Your Voyage Concierge will liaise with the Supplier on your behalf, assess your eligibility based on their policy, and inform you of any applicable cancellation fees or penalties and the potential refund amount.
4. Refund Processing
- Once a refund is approved by the Supplier and any applicable internal processing by Supreme Cruises is complete, the refund will generally be processed back to the original form of payment used at the time of booking.
- Processing times for refunds can vary significantly depending on the Supplier and your financial institution. While Supreme Cruises will facilitate the process promptly, the actual crediting of funds to your account can take from several business days to multiple billing cycles.
- Supreme Cruises is not responsible for delays in refund processing caused by Suppliers or financial institutions.
5. Future Cruise Credits (FCCs)
In some instances, particularly for certain types of cancellations or Supplier-initiated changes, you may be offered a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) by the Supplier instead of, or in addition to, a cash refund. The terms and conditions of any FCC (including validity period, eligible sailings, and transferability) are determined solely by the Supplier. Your Voyage Concierge will explain these options to you if they become available.
6. Travel Insurance
Supreme Cruises strongly recommends that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage for trip cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen events. Travel insurance can provide financial protection for non-refundable portions of your trip cost if you need to cancel for a covered reason. Please discuss travel insurance options with your Voyage Concierge.
7. Supplier-Initiated Cancellations or Significant Changes
In the event that a Supplier cancels a sailing or makes a significant change to your confirmed itinerary, their policy will dictate the available remedies, which may include a full or partial refund, an FCC, or alternative travel arrangements. Supreme Cruises will act as your advocate to ensure you understand and receive the entitlements provided by the Supplier.
