Supreme Cruises Cancellation Details
This document outlines the general cancellation policies and procedures for cruise bookings made through Supreme Cruises. As an agent for premier cruise lines and travel suppliers ("Suppliers"), the specific cancellation terms, conditions, and penalties applicable to your booking are primarily determined by the Supplier with whom your voyage is confirmed.
Your Supreme Cruises Voyage Concierge will provide comprehensive details of the cancellation policy relevant to your chosen cruise, fare type, and any promotional conditions at the time of booking and within your confirmation documents.
1. Initiating a Cancellation
All requests to cancel a confirmed cruise booking must be communicated directly to your Supreme Cruises Voyage Concierge by telephone at 1-855-647-9014. Please ensure you have your booking reference number and all pertinent travel details available when you call.
Verbal cancellation requests made via phone will be noted. For documentation and processing, we may also require a written confirmation of your cancellation request (e.g., via email to support@supreme-cruises.com) following your initial call. A cancellation is not considered effective until acknowledged and confirmed by Supreme Cruises and processed with the Supplier.
2. Cancellation Penalties & Fees
Cancellation penalties are imposed by the Suppliers and vary significantly based on several factors, including but not limited to:
- The Specific Cruise Line/Supplier: Each Supplier maintains its own unique cancellation schedule and fee structure.
- Timing of Cancellation: The amount of time remaining before the scheduled departure date is a critical factor. Penalties typically increase as the departure date approaches. Most Suppliers utilize a tiered penalty system (e.g., penalties for cancellations made 120+ days prior, 90-119 days, 60-89 days, etc.).
- Fare Type and Promotions: Certain fares (e.g., early booking discounts, special non-refundable offers, group rates) may have more restrictive cancellation terms or may be entirely non-refundable from the moment of booking.
- Cabin Category and Add-ons: Higher-tier suites, specific cabin numbers, or pre-booked ancillary services (shore excursions, specialty dining, airfare) may be subject to different or stricter cancellation penalties.
Your Voyage Concierge will provide the exact penalty schedule applicable to your specific booking. Failure to make timely payments as per the agreed schedule may also result in automatic cancellation by the Supplier and forfeiture of amounts paid.
3. Non-Refundable Bookings & Components
It is common for certain cruise fares or components of a travel package (such as initial deposits, administrative fees, or specially negotiated rates) to be designated as "non-refundable." If your booking includes such non-refundable elements, these amounts will not be returned in the event of a cancellation by you, irrespective of the timing. This will be clearly communicated during the booking process.
4. Changes to Bookings (Modifications)
Requests to modify a confirmed booking (e.g., changing sailing dates, itineraries, ship, cabin category, or passenger names) are generally treated as a cancellation of the original booking and a rebooking of new arrangements. As such, applicable cancellation penalties for the original booking may apply, and the new arrangements will be subject to prevailing rates, availability, and the Supplier's terms for new bookings. Change fees may also be imposed by the Supplier and/or Supreme Cruises. Please discuss any desired modifications with your Voyage Concierge.
5. No-Show Policy
Failure to arrive for embarkation at the scheduled time and date for your cruise (a "no-show") will be treated as a cancellation on the day of departure. In such cases, you will forfeit the entire cruise fare and any other amounts paid, and no refund or Future Cruise Credit will be issued.
6. Supplier's Role in Cancellations
Supreme Cruises facilitates your cruise booking and cancellation requests in accordance with the terms, conditions, and policies set forth by the respective Supplier. All final decisions regarding the applicability of cancellation penalties, refund amounts (if any), and the issuance of Future Cruise Credits rest solely with the Supplier.
7. Importance of Travel Insurance
Given the often significant financial investment involved in luxury travel and the potential for unforeseen circumstances to disrupt plans, Supreme Cruises strongly and unequivocally recommends that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. A robust travel insurance policy can provide coverage for cancellation penalties arising from covered reasons (such as illness, injury, job loss, etc., as defined by the policy terms), as well as trip interruption, medical emergencies during travel, baggage loss, and other potential risks. Your Voyage Concierge can provide information on suitable travel insurance options.
